Educating communities throughout Chicagoland about substance abuse issues, prevention and treatment programs at Gateway's Chicago Northwest Treatment Center is a rewarding endeavor for Community Outreach Coordinator Joe Beale. Joe initiates substance abuse learning opportunities for medical professionals, lawyers, teachers, social workers and the like in order to keep them well-inform about important aspects of substance abuse."

"Local partnerships are a key part of raising awareness of substance abuse. When members of the community understand substance abuse, it breaks down barriers and empowers others to help those in need of treatment."

Joe earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at University of Detroit and a Master's degree in Marketing from Lewis University. In his free time, Joe enjoys reading, traveling, bowling and watching sports.

Lisa Bloom serves as a liaison to the Chicagoland area by educating and connecting the community to Gateway's recovery resources. As an Outreach Coordinator for Gateway Foundation, Lisa plays a vital role in educating the community about prevention and recovery services. She also gathers community feedback to help Gateway continue to improve its clinical programming based on the needs of the community. Lisa received her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University, Chicago.

When she's not at Gateway, she enjoys yoga, spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Sunny.

"The most rewarding aspects of my role at Gateway are being part of such a compassionate and devoted team and helping individuals struggling with substance abuse get quality treatment," explains Beth Caldwell, Outreach Coordinator for Gateway Chicago West Alcohol & Drug Treatment.

Beth devotes her time reaching out to organizations in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area providing answers to connect individuals with drug or alcohol abuse problems to the quality care they deserve. "With an industry-leading successful completion rate, 40 years of experience and thousands of individuals treated each year, Gateway's formula for success is grounded in evidence-based practices, expert collaboration and individualized treatment," explains Beth.

Beth has a BS in Business Management from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, travel and making fond memories with family and friends.
