Gloria Bloodsaw believes that taking the extra time to get to know individuals helps to improve their quality of life and leads to lasting recovery. "During one memorable admission, one additional question made the difference of the client agreeing to in-patient treatment. Gateway takes the time to do that." Gloria is a liaison between Gateway and the Chicagoland area. She serves as a vital resource in the community by providing education, resources and support. "Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual. Gateway recognizes that teens and the elderly have different needs for treatment than a 35-year-old may need. We work to treat the unique needs of every individual, and we provide people with the treatment they need for lasting recovery." Gloria received her BA from Michigan State University. When not at Gateway, Gloria enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Gateway Foundation Alcohol & Drug Treatment Outreach Coordinator, Shelley Reimann, enjoys meeting members of McHenry County and surrounding communities—introducing them to the services offered at Gateway Foundation
Lake Villa. "I enjoy presenting Gateway Foundation's capabilities to professionals who were unfamiliar with us and are now leveraging our vast substance abuse education and treatment resources. That's because it
creates new opportunities for us to help individuals–who may not have sought help otherwise–find hope in their journey to recovery," explains Shelley. In her role as a member of Gateway's community outreach team,
Shelley ensures professionals and members of the community are aware of the resources Gateway Foundation offers, such as: expert speaker bureau for community forums, employee training workshops and opportunities for
professionals to earn CEUs. Shelley earned her BA at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI, majoring in Organizational Communication and Psychology.
Katie Richburg serves as a liaison to the Chicagoland area by educating and connecting the community to Gateway's recovery resources. As an Outreach Coordinator for Gateway Treatment Centers, Katie plays a vital role
