Group Counseling Specific to Men and Women
Adult Residential and Day Treatment Programs for Men and Women offer separate group counseling that is specific to the needs of men and women. Our gender-specific counseling provides an environment of compassion and care throughout an individual's substance abuse treatment as one's distinctive biological, psychosocial and gender aspects are addressed.
Integrate Family into Treatment
Gateway provides informative Family Counseling Services that include group and individual education about alcoholism and drug abuse, emotional support and family therapy. Helping individuals restore trust in the most valued relationships with their spouse, children and extended family is a vital step in establishing a strong foundation for lasting recovery.
Treatment for Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring Disorders
In addition to the comprehensive, evidence-based programs for chemical dependency, the drug and alcohol treatment programs at Chicago-West specialize in treating those who are challenged with Co-Occurring Disorders, which is when an individual simultaneously struggles with mental health problems and substance abuse. As a renowned expert in treating Co-Occurring Disorders, Gateway has the medical and counseling expertise needed to help individuals overcome these complicated issues for lasting recovery.
Involving the Entire Family in Treatment
Gateway Foundation recognizes the immediate and long-term benefits to individuals in recovery when their families are involved in treatment, and engages families in counseling and substance abuse education programs. Family Programs are part of our integrated treatment programs and are designed to answer the questions families have and to help parents, spouses, siblings and significant others learn how to better cope with the substance abuse issues of loved ones in treatment.
Insurance Welcomed
We accept health insurance and provide assistance to find out what is covered by insurance benefits for substance abuse treatment as well as deductibles and co-pays.
