Tracy Griffin Collander, MA, LSCW
Executive Director, Aurora
Tracy Griffin Collander finds numerous aspects of directing the Aurora treatment center rewarding, including working with the highly professional staff and talking with individuals about the successes they've had in treatment. She enjoys watching the treatment process work and seeing new programs take off. "Our staff's commitment to providing the highest level of care is remarkable. They truly care about each individual, which helps to make our treatment programs so successful."
Tracy's main focus is to provide excellent customer service in the residential and outpatient programs in Aurora. She also thrives on developing new and innovative programs that assist her staff throughout the treatment process. These various aspects meld together to help Tracy's team exceed at providing high quality needs for lasting recovery in Northern Illinois.
Tracy holds a BA in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN, as well as a MA in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago. She also is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSCW). Previous experience includes being the executive director of a child welfare agency for severely emotionally and behaviorally disordered children and their families, as well as serving for several years as a clinical director and adolescent and family counselor. In addition, Tracy is a certified conflict resolution mediator and is experienced with small claims court cases and youth victim/offender cases.
When not at Gateway, Tracy is quite active outdoors and enjoys spending time with family, golfing, swimming, reading, gardening and traveling.
