Meet the Caseyville Staff Executive Director
With more than 33 years at Gateway, Donald Bushnell personifies Gateway's commitment to lasting recovery. "We have grown from only a few locations many years ago to becoming the largest provider of substance abuse treatment in the state of Illinois. Over the years and throughout our expansion we have maintained our integrity and the highest ethical standards."
Don relishes being part of a highly effective and ethical management team. On a daily basis Don feels he is true to the Gateway mission and goals by offering the highest quality treatment programs and services. He also strives to continually enhance and improve substance abuse treatment options that offer lasting recovery to those who need it most.
Don received a BA in Substance Abuse Treatment and Management from Northeastern Illinois University and holds his CRADC. In his free time, Don and his wife are avid high school football fans who enjoy following the local youth teams.

Since joining Gateway Foundation Caseyville in 1998, Clinical Supervisor Gina Howard has subscribed to the belief that she can help make a difference in the lives of others.
"Those who come into treatment are our priority, and it is evident every day in the way we go about providing care. The dedicated staff members, most of which have been here a long time, are here because they want to be. Gateway is a great place to work. "
Gina leads the professional clinical team in Caseyville and oversees quality care management. "I ensure that each individual receives care that is timely, appropriate and of the highest quality."
Gina received both her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and her Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Administration and Services from Southern Illinois University in caseyville, IL, and is an Illinois Licensed Professional Counselor.
Jo Hughes arrived at Gateway Foundation Caseyville in 1985, and she continues to find each work day special because she feels challenged every day to be a better person and to bring that out in others.
"It's very rewarding to see the changes people are able to make in a relatively short period of time," says Jo.
As an Admissions Counselor, Jo is one of the first people individuals meet when they arrive for substance abuse treatment. She guides them through the admissions process, conducts thorough assessments and then works with a multi-disciplinary team of experts to determine the level of care to implement customized substance abuse treatment plans.
Jo received her Master's degree in Counseling from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL.
