Kerry HenryAs Executive Director of Gateway's Springfield and Pekin Treatment Centers, Kerry Henry has seen much professional growth in her 17 years with the organization; not only in her own life, but in the lives of those she helps.

"Attending graduation ceremonies for our Outpatient Programs allows me to see first hand how our work and services transform the lives of our clients and their families. Many graduates speak about the changes that are happening in their lives, and they believe that Gateway and the staff saved their lives."

Kerry finds Gateway very dynamic and describes it as "a progressive and changing organization that tends to always stay one step ahead of the industry." Kerry provides day-to-day and executive management of the Springfield and Pekin Treatment Centers. She enjoys coaching and mentoring her staff and witnessing their professional growth. "Gateway is unique because we not only have the ability to impact our client's lives directly, but also the ability to be a part of a great organization that genuinely cares about those suffering from drugs and alcohol."

Kerry earned her BA in Psychology from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and is CADC certified. Away from Gateway, Kerry enjoys gardening, barbecuing, spending time with her children and attending their sporting events.

 

Brittany Thomas-Ottino, Psy.D.
Clinical Psychologist and Program Director
Gateway Springfield

Brittany Thomas-Ottino, Psy.D.Brittany Thomas-Ottino, Psy.D, has been dedicated to treating substance abuse since she began counseling in 2000. In her current position as Clinical Psychologist and Program Director at Gateway Foundation Springfield, Dr. Ottino oversees clinical services and psychiatric referrals for the100-bed residential treatment center and develops and implements new training programs for clinicians. She has extensive experience with complex clinical cases for both adolescents and adults, including administering evidence-based treatment for individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Dr. Ottino also serves as Adjunct faculty for Southern Illinois University (SIU) Medical school, which allows her to provide training and evaluation for general psychiatry medical residents at the site.

Dr. Ottino is a graduate of the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and completed a doctoral training rotation at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital, now part of the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center.
