Professional Expertise With Substance Abuse Treatment
We understand the importance of integrated treatment planning, which means each client is assigned a team of highly-trained,
multidisciplinary licensed substance abuse professionals. This provides the most effective and integrated treatment planning from on-site medical
doctors, nurses, psychiatrists and addiction counselors.
Evidence-Based Practices
Gateway focuses on providing the most effective therapies and clinical approaches throughout an individual's treatment,
including the use of evidence-based practices. Evidence-based practices are drug and alcohol treatments that integrate professional research and
clinical expertise to achieve the best outcome for an individual.
Full Continuum of Care
Drug and alcohol treatment programs offered include Residential, Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient Treatment
(Morning, After-Work/After-School) and Aftercare programs for adults and teens. We also provide expanded treatment options, through medication-assisted
treatment, in the appropriate setting. Treatment for individuals with co-occurring or dual diagnosed substance abuse and mental health problems is
also a part of our integrated treatment planning.
Licensed and Accredited
Gateway is licensed by the state of Illinois and accredited by The Joint Commission, the leading accrediting
organization for hospitals and behavioral healthcare organizations.
The Joint Commission evaluates and accredits more than 15,000 hospitals and other healthcare organizations
and sets the standards for the best possible outcomes for patients.
To earn and maintain our Joint Commission accreditation, Gateway must undergo rigorous on-site
evaluations a minimum of every three years. The evaluations are an in-depth review of our performance, levels of care and treatment services.
