Gateway Foundation, Inc. is a Chicago-based not-for-profit organization committed to the fight against alcohol and other substance abuse and drug addiction.
Since 1968, we have been an industry leader in providing community-based After Work/After School outpatient treatment and residential substance abuse treatment that is innovative, effective and cost-efficient. We provide drug rehab and alcohol treatment services to help individuals with or without the ability to pay.
We work hand-in-hand with healthcare providers, local communities, schools, businesses and government agencies to respond to the ever-changing needs of people seeking drug rehab and alcohol treatment. We specialize in designing innovative drug rehab and alcohol treatment programs to serve the special needs of teens, adult men and women and the elderly including those with a concurrent mental health diagnoses. We treat more than 29,000 clients per year.
The work we’ve done has earned us numerous awards in the industry as well as accreditation by The Joint Commission, the leading accrediting organization for hospitals and other healthcare organizations. We also strive to educate individuals, businesses, policy makers and the public about major issues related to substance abuse, drug and alcohol addiction and treatment. We act as advocates in urging adoption of comprehensive drug rehab and alcohol treatment programs.
